Intergenerational
Our Pre school have started a wonderful project with Age UK day centre in Brighton. We believe in creating a strong community and what better way to do this then through our stay and play sessions with the older generation.
Brighton
Being in central Brighton gives us ample opportunity to explore our wider community. Learning doesn’t just take place in the classroom. We love to extend the children’s knowledge of the world around them. Places we visit include the beach, library, park, museums and many more.
Forest School
Queen’s Park is on our doorstep and we take our 3+ year olds weekly to take part in Forest School sessions. Originating in Scandinavia, these sessions give children the chance to learn through nature and teaches them about respecting their environment.
Music and movement
We have a range of music and movement sessions weekly for our different age ranges. Classes include Musical Bumps, Long Tall Silly and Dance with our fantastic teacher Lucy. Sessions are tailored to our children’s interests and stages of development.
Yoga
Our 0-3’s can choose to take part in our weekly free flow Yoga sessions with our lovely teacher Zara. The children learn to explore their bodies and these sessions very calming.
Our animals
At Orchard we pride ourselves on giving children rich experiences. We have our lovely fish and 2 Guinea Pigs. We feel that it is important for children to learn about caring for animals and gives them a sense of responsibility.
