Admissions Procedure
Ring for an application form and return it, together with £20.00 registration fee, to the nursery. Please state sessions
required and the date you wish your child to start. The registration fee is paid to cover administration and allocation
of places and is non-refundable. Please note your child will not be placed on our waiting list until we receive the registration fee
and this does not guarantee a place for your child at Orchard.
Payment of Fees and Attendance
Your child's nursery fees are due in advance. Fees are charged for all holidays and public holidays,
also any sickness. One months notice must be given for any child leaving the nursery.
*Early Education Vouchers
All three and four year olds are entitled to a free early education place for up to two years before
they reach school starting age. This provides at least 12.5 hours a week for a certain amount of weeks a year.
The funding starts the term your child turns 3.

Childcare employment vouchers
Childcare employment vouchers are a scheme that means the first £55 a week (or £243 a
month) of your childcare costs is taken from your gross (pre-tax) income. This means there's
no tax or National Insurance to pay on this part of your salary.
The vouchers cover childcare up to the age of fifteen, and they are useable with any Nursery or
Child minder who is registered and regulated by Ofsted.
Unfortunately not all employers run a scheme; check with your personnel department to see if yours does,
however if they don't its easy to persuade them.
The first thing to say is, providing you with Childcare vouchers doesn't cost you employer money, in fact it should
save them money, which is a great way to start the persuasion. The gain for firms is simple: they don't
pay National Insurance on the vouchers, which mean they gain 12.8% on the vouchers too.
The administration is normally done through a nursery voucher company. Either your employer or the company will
dole out the vouchers; some companies will allow you to conveniently access them online.
You can sacrifice as much of your salary as you want in return for vouchers but only the first £55 a week or
£243 per month will be exempt from tax and NI. However if you're a couple, both of you can apply for the vouchers
potentially saving you £1600 - £2000 a year in childcare costs.
Orchard Day Nursery is registered with the following voucher providers, however if your employer
uses a different company please let us know and we will register with them.
